Joseph A. Coulbourn vs. Josiah Coulbourn.

(1) The 1870 Census reports Elizabeth Coulbourn (Reddish) and Stephen C. Coulbourn's eldest son as Josiah age 12. (Stephen not shown on 1870 census), .
(2) Joseph A. Coulbourn's Death Cert. (Baltimore City # D 35212) reports age at death as 66 years, 2 months and 15 days. (3 + yrs. diff. from 1870 census, however not unusual)
(3) His name in all of the Baltimore City Directories is reported as Joseph A. Coulbourn. (4) Joseph's death Cert. also states parents as Elizabeth and Stephen Coulbourn.
(5) Joseph and Katie named their first son, Seward L. Coulbourn (1911-1914), the same unusual name as Elizabeth and Stephen's youngest son, Seward L. Coulbourn.
(6) These facts strongly suggest or prove to this author, that Josiah and Joseph are in fact the same person.

Unfortunately and sadly, Joseph and Katie's Seward died at the very young age of only 3 years old.
